A Case for Women would be nothing without its people: the advocates, legal minds, creative thinkers, tech geniuses, business doers and changemakers who all work passionately to stand with women as they fight for justice, because lawsuits don’t just hold people accountable —
They Create Lasting, Powerful Change.
Here’s Some of the Brains, Heart + Hustle Behind the Mission.
Our “Visionary in Chief” who built something new and visionary with equal parts heart and hustle.
Susan spent 11 years as Chief Marketing Officer for the law firm Baron & Budd before launching A Case for Women. At Baron & Budd she pioneered the use of social media for mass torts. Prior to working in the legal industry, Susan was a leader in the advertising and marketing space, where she focused on cause-oriented marketing and developed impactful women-centric programs, such as the financial literacy agendas: Girl Boss and What Mom Never Knew. She is also a published author, frequent speaker and president of A Fund for Women.
Never met a problem she couldn’t solve, especially when said problem involves operational systems. And does it while making it all look easy.
Jordan came to A Case for Women with a background in women’s studies, a passion for making a difference, and years of experience branding and writing for law firms and other cause-oriented and women-focused groups. She is also a published author and secretary of A Fund for Women.
Our logistics wiz and full-time client whisperer—no email goes unanswered; no details get dropped.
August came to A Case for Women after obtaining her master’s in public health at Johns’ Hopkins University and spending several years working in non-profit healthcare in Washington, DC. She is now happily applying her medical management expertise to the many pharmaceutical injuries we encounter at ACFW and applying her organizational skills (AKA managing doctors) to the law firm management side of ACFW. She is also treasurer of A Fund for Women.
Equal parts creative and analytical, she is our brand evangelist who turns metrics into magic and hashtags into headlines.
Amanda has spent her career in legal marketing, having been the advertising and PR manager for Baron & Budd for six years before joining A Case for Women. She is not only a Meta guru but is also a true believer in the power of digital media to create good.
He is the calm in the digital storm, keeping us connected and protected.
Christopher brings two decades of web development, SEO, CRM, and data analytics experience to A Case for Women. Prior to joining the organization, Christopher served as the senior web developer for the law firm Baron & Budd, where he helped build the firm’s online presence into a national powerhouse.
Quietly heroic. Always indispensable. The human version of “turn it off and turn it on again.”
Kent may be in the background, but his skills in security and IT problem solving are front and center for the entire ACFW team.
She keeps us balanced and focused. May or may not dream in QuickBooks.
We were lucky enough to meet Lori early on in ACFW’s development. With years of experience managing law firms and their finances, Lori is an indispensable part of ACFW operations. Her just-the-facts style makes her the go-to for all things financial.
Part rulebook, part life coach and part party planner—she makes sure we all thrive.
Maria joined us when we were 30 people and helped us triple that number. Not sure how we ever did this without her, given the growth of ACFW – particularly our contact team (intake) group – which is where it all really happens.
Best in the business turning creative into visual poetry.
Les has been a part of ACFW since before it was even a dream, having worked with Susan for the past 30 years, including her 11 years at Baron & Budd. Outstanding creative thinker and designer, Les “gets” our brand and makes sure others do too.
Jill keeps projects going, law firms happy, and has the patience of a saint. Basically, the MVP of keeping it all moving.
Brings wisdom and character to the team with a perspective that grounds us all.
Roger is a Navy Veteran with a new heart (literally) for helping injured people.
The connecter-of-things and efficiency boss.
A graduate of The New School in NYC, Cait started out in the early days of the plaintiff evaluation team and helped it grow into what it is today. She always has a bright idea — or what some would call, a wild idea.
She who Thinks of It All and covers every detail.
Rosalynn oversees the contact team, the by far-largest team within ACFW, and can always be caught drinking coffee, checking off her list and making sure that everyone and every thing on her team is taken care of. Rosalynn graduated from the University of Texas in Austin and brings her years of experience in emergency response centers to the helm.
The other Les in our dynamic creative duo. He’s the glue between big ideas and final drafts.
Les Baker has been part of ACFW since its beginning and, like many other team members, he has a long history with Susan and the rest of the design team. If you need to learn a thing or two about fonts, he is your go-to!
Writing is in her DNA – Cynthia is Louisa May Alcott’s great-niece, five times removed!
A longtime writer for ACFW and part of the Kerr, Knape team, Cynthia tackles making legal topics understandable with grace and lots of debate about Oxford commas.
