# Women Against Sexual Assault

A woman is assaulted or beaten every 9 seconds in the US.

We repeat: Every 9 seconds.

And don’t even get us started on sexual assault.

Or, do…
Sexual assault has run rampant.

From the streets to universities to our own homes. It’s been happening for far too long and it needs to stop. Women need to be safe from sexual assault and violence.

To do that, one thing has to happen: We need to speak up. We need to share our stories; we need to file police reports and criminal and civil lawsuits.

We’re gathering resources now to help women understand their legal options if they’ve been sexually assaulted. This is the kind of standing up and speaking out that could change things, big time, for countless women in the U.S. who are living under dangerous circumstances or who are filled with unnecessary shame for horrible actions they did not cause.

Subscribe to our newsletter to be updated when we’re ready to get things moving for women who’ve been sexually assaulted and want — and need — to do something to help protect us all from violence against women.
