Who is Dr. Barry J. Brock?

Add OB-GYN Dr. Barry Brock to the growing list of predator physicians we’ve been seeing in recent years, starting with Larry Nassar at Michigan State University. Also add Cedars-Sinai Beverly Hills-Rodeo Drive Medical Center, where Brock was principally affiliated, for harboring a serial predator and ignoring patients’ complaints while attempting an alleged coverup for four decades.

If something felt creepy or “off” during your appointment with Dr. Brock, there’s probably a good reason. Please contact us for a private consultation.

Dr. Brock, 74, is the subject of an explosive lawsuit alleging that he subjected women to vulgar comments & post-partum examinations without wearing gloves or gaining consent, denied necessary caesarean births resulting in hours of anguished labor + at least two neonatal injuries, and performed “female genital mutilation.”

“One plaintiff alleges he [Brock] entered her labor and delivery room with an erection and placed her foot on it.”1

What Are the Allegations Against Dr. Brock?

Brock is facing multiple charges of sexual exploitation and sexual abuse from scores of former patients spanning decades and outlining a pattern of hideous misconduct. In addition, Cedars-Sinai Beverly Hills where Brock practiced for decades is also listed as a defendant in the lawsuit for harboring the OB/GYN while he continued alleged sexual misbehavior uninterrupted.

Brock has denied all charges, saying that plaintiffs’ attorneys “have made it seem as if I was grooming patients even by just speaking to them, insanely claiming that suturing a patient after childbirth is genital mutilation, and saying that my standard vaginal exams and pap smears were ‘sadistic.’”2

Is There a Dr. Barry Brock Lawsuit?

Yes! With scores of plaintiffs and more than 100 pages of disturbing allegations including sexual harassment and generations of assault, cases are actively being filed by survivors against Dr. Brock + Cedars-Sinai Beverly Hills for facilitating a prolonged pattern of abuse.

Women are seeking reparations against Cedars-Sinai proportional to harms caused by the center’s extended coverup of Brock’s sexual misconduct that allegedly exposed “hundreds – if not thousands – of female patients to a known, serial, deviant, sexual predator,” the lawsuit states.7

The lawsuit also charges that Cedars “hid negative complaints about Brock, despite the fact that many of the reports came directly from Cedars-Sinai’s own employees and staff,” such as nurses and medical assistants who witnessed Brock’s behavior while standing in as chaperones for sensitive examinations.8

“Instead of protecting its patients, the only thing Cedars did was lie, gaslight, and help cover up Brock’s crimes – while exposing a countless number of unsuspecting patients to a known serial sexual predator.”

CBS News9

Cedars-Sinai Beverly Hills suspended Brock in early 2024 after still more complaints from patients. The company banned him from practicing medicine at the center in fall 2024 and reported the complaints to the California Medical Board. Brock, however, is said to have personally contacted former patients to inform them that he was retiring.10
